We ask that you consider Bi-Okoto
in your charitable giving.
Bi-Okoto operates a Cultural Centre where, staying true to our mission, our board, staff and volunteers take great pride and responsibility in preserving, promoting and sharing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Africa and Africans. We accomplish this by providing a variety of arts education programs through the use of African drums, songs, dances, foods, clothing, languages and visual arts that exposes adults and children to the Africa many have rarely seen
As we count our blessings, Bi-Okoto is especially grateful for another year that we have been able to provide our services due to support of individuals, like you, who have been instrumental in ensuring that our organization can continue our mission for the past 17 years. During 2010, we served over 78,000 adults and school children; presented 237 local performances, including 22 Senior residential and assisted living communities workshops, 10 church Praise and Worship Sessions; held 42 weeks of FREE classes for children ages 5-17; conducted 10 weeks of summer camp and provided numerous “Artability” art therapy drum circles for those that are physically, behaviorally and mentally challenged.
Bi-Okoto is much more than education and entertainment organization. We are engaging, cultivating, and enhancing the lives of residents in our communities. We are the story tellers of African culture that are sometimes omitted in books. We are the African ambassadors that put smiles on the faces of elderly at Twin Towers and children at the Shriner’s Burn Hospital. From Over-the Rhine to West Chester; Spokane, WA to Rochester NY; Darmstadt, Germany to Fairford, England; Bi-Okoto brings African Culture to communities in ways that no one else does.
But, we cannot do this alone. By making a donation to Bi-Okoto today, you will be planting seeds to ensure our stability. Professional artists depend on us for employment and the community depends on us for services and programs year-round. I ask that you please make a tax-deductible gift of $50, $100, $250 or more. However, no amount is ever too small. Visit our website at bi-okoto.com and click on the PayPal donation button.
Thank you for your consideration, and may you and yours have the happiest of holiday seasons!
