Our mission is to preserve traditional African drum and dance heritage
and promote cultural understanding by educating audiences of all ages
about African countries through language, music and movement for a
better appreciation of diversity. We are committed to sharing knowledge
that helps mentor, strengthen and foster family unity while building long
lasting cooperative relationships with our community patrons and
leaders.
Performances, exhibitions, classes, workshops, and cultural programs
that reach out to families to inspire and educate them. Over 301,000
children and adults participate in Bi-Okoto programs yearly. Thousands
around the world are reached through our online projects, traveling
exhibitions and other programs. Bi-Okoto programs emphasize values,
respect, education, and character development through the supervision of
caring and fun loving adults who provide positive role models and
leadership in many communities.
